The inaugural Business Feet East Midlands Trade Show took place on Friday 27th April and a success was had by all who exhibited and attended.

The event showcased 16 local businesses to an estimated 130 visitors to the event throughout the course of the morning. With the help of BRE Business Feet were able to offer both exhibitors and visitors the opportunity to network with each other and gain increased contacts throughout the East Midlands region.

The event also highlighted the benefit that Bartercard can have to SME companies.Let me share a few comments that we have received from exhibitors at the show:-

Stephen Hughes – TCO Bartercard Leicester  - (Sponsors of the Business Feet Trade Show 27/04/07)

‘We signed up two new members on the day and were able to qualify additional leads, some of which I am sure we will convert into actual sales. We were busy for most of the day and our stand generated a lot of interest.’

Jonny Masters – Recognition Express Leicester West

‘I managed to connect with over 20 good prospective clients and also secured orders at the event. I had good stand area which allowed me to talk comfortably, and engage with visitors.  I feel this kind of event will benefit my business again and again.Access and parking were very good which meant it was easy to both setup and close down.  The hotel location was very accessible, which I think also help to attract a whole host of new people for me to connect with.

Gavin Walker  - VM Direct – (transcribed from video message)

‘Hello Nigel, Hello Christine. I have just got back from the Trade show in Leicester and just wanted to send you a quick video message to say it was Fantastic. Thank you very much we as a team thoroughly enjoyed it, myself, Darren and James. We have some incredible leads from the event, so, again thank you very much for thinking of us and getting us there. It was a very worthwhile exercise, Thank you and we would love to attend any of your other shows that you have coming up. Please think about us and we shall see you both soon. ‘

Obviously from these comments made by a couple of our exhibitors you can gauge the benefit that each have gained from not only exhibiting but also from simple being at the event.

Visitors to the Trade Show were able to discuss and promote their businesses, and also gain useful information about;

  • -Growing their company with help from Business Link East Midlands,
  • -Gaining extra clients and reducing cash spending by the use of Bartercard,
  • -Marketing their Business with the help of both Business Feet and STB Direct Marketing,

  • -Utilising corporate gifts to keep and win customers with Recognition Express,

  • -How networking benefits business’ with the help of BRE.

As well as continuing the Trade Shows in the East midlands, we are now going to launch the Trade Shows in the West Midlands, enabling more and more local businesses can gain from making contact with each other in this positive business environment.
