The privacy regulator, the Information Commissioner, is updating the CCTV Code of Practice 2000.  A draft is available for consultation and comments until end of October 2007.  You can read it and comment here[url][http://www.ico.gov.uk/upload/documents/library/data_protection/practical_application/ico_cctv_consultation_draft_final.pdf/url].
